163. Does meekness equal weakness? A little look into the Beatitudes and Matthew 5 :)
Matthew 5:5-6
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
Meekness does not been weakness. It means humble and self disciplined. SO in verse 5, Jesus is saying that when you come with a humble heart and a disciplined life that recognizes your need for a Savior, you will have His inheritance! And then He reminds us that when we hunger and thirst for right living and His presence we will be filled...so no more hunger!
